Product InformationGECKO SCAFFOLD vs. CONVENTIONAL TUBULAR MODULAR SCAFFOLDTraditional scaffold systems are usually supported from the ground and depend mostly on even surfaces for support. These systems are used very successfully on sites that are reasonably level and have a firm mounting surface, but has limitations where the ground is soft, boggy or if the construction site is very steep or undulating.
Scaffold systems that are supported from the ground have other disadvantages in that they are not particularly suitable for scaffolding build to boundary sites, sloping or sites, angular surfaces, or if there is no ground at all to support from as in the case of a bridge, or for cantilevers. Other limitations are: scaffold supported from the ground impedes access to lower parts of the building, lengthening construction times as the work cannot be performed until the scaffold has been removed. An alternative is to use hung scaffold from roof members, however this introduces separate problems as the roof members must be in place before the scaffold can be used. It may mean that it is necessary to use ground supporting scaffold until the roof members have been positioned and then the other scaffolding system can be hung from the roof members. This type of scaffold introduces other difficulties by making it harder to sheet eaves or work on walls without interruption. These scaffold systems are both expensive and time consuming. The PATENTED GECKO SCAFFOLD SYSTEM is a revolutionary scaffold system designed to overcome these disadvantages and offers users an alternative that is quicker, lighter, cheaper and easier to install.
