OBJECTIVE OF THE INNOVATION

The object of GECKO SCAFFOLD is to provide a safe working platform which may overcome these disadvantages and provide consumers with a useful commercial choice.

GECKO SCAFFOLD attaches directly to a wall, or angular surface meaning there is no need to support the scaffold from the ground or hang the scaffold from the roof structure.

It’s ideally suited to sloping sites or other building sites that are hard to access. It can be used in overhanging structures, such as the edge of a steep embankment, over water and bridges. On flat ground it also provides consumers with a useful alternative over conventional scaffold, and because it attaches to a walls surface, it enables clear access to a building’s perimeter allowing workers and other trades to continue on lower work unimpeded.

Once attached, GECKO SCAFFOLD may be staged in height intervals of .75m and 1.5m. It serves as a multipurpose scaffold system that may be raised or lowered from the base of the wall connection to suit a variety of applications.
As an all-in-one solution, GECKO SCAFFOLD can extend to form roof edge protection, negating the need for a separate edge protection system for roof sheeting or fascia and gutter work.

ATTACHMENTS

GECKO SCAFFOLD may be attached to concrete or masonry wall surfaces through cast in wall fixings or to steel support columns by friction clamps. The mounting mechanism may also be adapted to attach to any angular surfaces from roofs to shoring embankments for erosion control.

Unlike any other scaffold system, the PATENTED wall attachments work in shear, which allows the scaffold to be lightweight and flexible.

GROOVE CLIP ASSEMBLY

Another unique feature of the GECKO SCAFFOLD SYSTEM is the use of the (PATENTED) GROOVE CLIP ASSEMBLY.

The GROOVE CLIP ASSEMBLY is used as a connection mechanism for scaffold components allowing for superior speed, less weight and fewer parts.

RESTRICTIONS

GECKO SCAFFOLD is limited to light weight duties up to 225 Kg, and is suited for use in the majority of trades. It is not to be used as a loading platform but if required, it is recommended that the internal floor be used for this purpose.

For heavy duties (e.g. block laying) GECKO SCAFFOLD can be used as an edge protection system. Here the workers use the floor level of the building as the loading platform with work carried out from the inside, the scaffold allows for clear access to the outside and acts as fall protection.
